Hi there, I’m Marina
Versatile and empathy driven, UX/UI designer, art enthusiast and eclectic dance lover, that’s me.
Diversity, exploration, and adventure is what drives me in both my personal and my professional endeavors. This is a way for me to understand the world around me.
This translates also to my professional life. Since I left my first corporate job in 2011, I worked in a multitude of roles, freelance, as an employee, and as a volunteer. This also brought me to a variety of fields, such as: industrial automation, arts, publishing, and startups. Through all these experiences I’ve interacted with people from numerous backgrounds, which fuelled my curiosity about human nature and what drives this. That’s why I love the WHY aspect of interacting with users so much.
My passion for visual aesthetics and translating complex problems into visually comprehensible layouts has gotten me into graphic design. This step was a game-changer, as creating made my (professional) life much more meaningful.
With 15+ years of experience in marketing communications, event organisation, and graphic design I decided to transition to UX/UI Design in 2021. My latest project demonstrates my strength to lead a UX design project from conception, through ideation and testing, to implementation. I have the ability to see the project from a helicopter-view, and turning this into visual concepts. Furthermore, my empathy-driven nature does not only consider user’ needs at the center of the project, but also makes it easy to collaborate with each team member, whether the product owner, developer, or the CEO.
I’m ready to make a difference in an organisation that creates products and/or services for a meaningful purpose, and a team where cross-collaboration and learning from peers are central to their mission
